Which political ideology do you most identify with?
Do you think the human race will ever reach a point where war is obsolete?
i think there will always be war be countries want to be better than the U.S.
They have so much going for them to maintain such status long after our lifetime. Sure, I can see the US decline as the UK did after WWII, but the potential powers like China or India that could take such a role in a post-US dominated world have huge problems that will hinder them from taking the crown from the US, or they don't want to be that kind of power. But the US will still be a significant player on the world stage, even after such a decline. I think war will always exist since humankind, by its very nature, is tribalistic, hence why nation-states, religions, cultures, and ideologies exist. Since humans have existed, wars have been fought over land, resources, religion, culture, and ideology. It would be nearly impossible to reboot the human psyche to think we are all in this together, a call to come together as a united species to consolidate our efforts for the future of our species. Even the best forum to unite humanity, the United Nations, is primarily seen as "the forum of international hatred." Most people do not like being told how to run their countries or how to live their lives by the UN. So, if the international community forum is seen as a place to express their hatred and anger toward other countries or ideologies or refuses to heed or value the input of the UN in regards to supernational governance that would occur with a united human effort, it is safe to say that war will NEVER be obsolete; we will only get craftier in our ways of killing our fellow human beings as technology progresses.
